KYHC Pre-Season Boot Camp
Get a jump start on the hockey season with a pre-season boot camp led by Kankakee Irish Head Coach Mark Calahan.
Ages
Session 1: K-6th grade
Session 2: 7th-12th grade
All participants must have a 2025/2026 USA Hockey Number
When
Sunday August 17th
Session 1:
12p-12:45p off ice
1p-2:30p on ice
Session 2:
2:45pm-4:15pm on ice
4:30pm-5:30pm off ice
Costs
8/4 through 8/12- $50
8/12 through 8/16 $65
Equipment
Please bring a light colored and dark colored jersey for a controlled scrimmage during the on ice portion.
Also, players should wear or bring athletic attire including gym shoes for off ice session and supply your own personal water bottle
2025 KYHC Pre-Season Boot Camp
Pre-Season Bootcamp lead by Irish Head Coach Mark Calahan
Date: Sunday, August 17, 2025
Time: 6th Grade and under - 12pm - 2:30pm; 7th grade - 12th grade - 2:45pm - 5:30pm
Location: Ice Valley Centre
45 - 60 minute off-ice session focusing on plyometric exercises to improve power, strength, and speed.
1.5 hour on-ice session includes stamina-building drills, edge work, shooting, and battle drills followed by a controlled scrimmage.
